Aab Tak Chhapan, Aab Nahi to Kab?

I am 56, if not now then when?

"If I can, anybody can".

India has become the capital of Obesity, Diabetes and Osteoporosis

due to lack of motivation for Outdoor activity.

"If you Desire change, change yourself first".

I used to advise patients to opt for a active outdoor life. But nobody listened.

As a Surgeon at 56, aspiring to be a role model for wellness and fitness I participated in the Polar Fjallraven 2018 contest.

Few years back on reaching 50s, I had lot of problems. Syndrome X, Midlife crisis, Mid WAIST crisis, Mid leg crisis and what not.
I had the option of taking the Stick – wooden, aluminium, medicine !!
I opted for two sticks instead of one.
The stick of Running and Hiking.

Over the past five years I have played Squash, Lifted weights done a few Half Marathons,Skied and Trekked.
Local treks ( Ghatkopar Tekddi, Mulund Tekddi, Sahayadri Ghats and Forts and then high altitude mountain treks in India and Nepal both Individually and as a Trek team Doctor.
Kedarkanth, Har ki Dhun, Roopkund, Sandakphu, Everest base camp and the Chadder trek over the frozen Zanskar river, Ladakh

In June I did a 28 days Mountainerring course from ABVIMAS, Manali, the prestigeous Mountaineering Institute in India. The age limit is 35. It is difficult to get admission, with waiting period of a year. 10% leave the course in between and other 20% can't do all the stipulated activities.

“You can't do it, you will not be able to do it, you can't complete the course, even if you complete you wont get a A grade.” was the enouragment I received.
Yet 'C'harlie got a 'A'lpha. Not only did I get the highest A grade, I got a extra Keep Himalaya Clean award. A special case indeed.

Never take 'No' for a Answer.. Age is Just a Number.

I can jump in the ice cold waters in my briefs ( reference to my video), but from North Mumbai to North Pole you only can send me.
