This is the story of my life, my tragedy.........
My story is not directed at any individual,
But
To quote Khushwant Singh: “With Malaise towards one and all.”
It is directed to all concerned individual who believe in cordial coexistence.
Statutory warning: All characters in this story............... exist in real life, any coincidence is intentional.
My wife Parties a lot
I have a wife......
Well all husbands have one,
But mine is different, she parties a lot, almost four times a week
The clock strikes 5.30 and she is out of the house for her party
Whether it is summer, winter or raining heavily, nothing stops her
One day she is off to Juhu beach, the next to Bandra Band stand or NCPA
One day she and her friends are on the Eastern Express highway the other day on the Western Express.
She and her friends, about 50 of them have lot of fun it seems.
Besides she does not need me either to give company, or to pick or drop her, her friends willingly oblige for the duty.
One day I invited myself to the party,
I said take me at least once to your party.
She said “Fine, I will wake you up at 5”
Wake up at 5............
Of course you have to get up at 5am to go to party with the Jolly Marathon Group at 5.30 am
Forget it, my part of the party ends, may your party continue I said.
But you know what,
Although I know that she goes for her parties at 5. 30 am almost 4/ 5 times a week since the past 4 years, I have never missed her!!!!
By  7. 45 before I am out of my slumber, she is off her party outfit, back in her Night dress, in the kitchen ready with the breakfast.
Aur aj kal ke bachha, ‘Bap kee bat to sunta hi nahi’.
My son has his vacations now. He too has started parting......., along with his mom.
 
My wife keeps complaining that i don’t give her any gifts like dresses, rings, jewels......etc.
She is fully aware that
T/3 1402 at Orchard Residency was a gift by a husband to his wife for completing the Half Marathon (21 km) in Jan 2010,
And now she is threatening........
(God bless her ankles and her knees and her spirits and what all)
............to do the full Marathon (42 Km)
Aree apne umara ka nahi to atleast meri umar ka khyal karo
Ab is umar me double gift .........

I am 56, if not now then when? "If I can, anybody can". India has become the capital of Obesity, Diabetes and Osteoporosis  due to lack of motivation for Outdoor activity. #celebrating60s Atmanirbhar 41 kms run. Self supported Run. Nutrition, hydration, illumination and music all carried on back. Thanks K Sanjay Singh for giving company in the last 5 kms, pacing and helping me climb the "wall". I dedicate the Run to Dr Pranesh Patil Gaikwad, senior Anesthetist Ghatkopar, fellow runner, co trekker, and travel buddy, with a prayer.. recover soon dear friend. I continuously prayed for him during the run and could finish the run smoothly. The collective prayer of all will smoothen his recovery. We have travelled to many places together, but many are still on the bucket list. Recover soon Patil so I can begin planning.
